Columbia Dental Office Unveils State-of-the-Art New Website

COLUMBIA, SC – Dr. Doug Forbes, a family dentist who treats patients of all ages, has launched a new website equipped with fresh content, a smile gallery and patient testimonials.
The new website, www.getabettersmile.com, launched in late March and was designed by Dr. Forbes to help patients and community members learn about their oral health and easily schedule their dental visits. The website is compatible with all various web browsers and mobile devices.
“The new website is one of the best changes our practice has made in years,” said Dr. Forbes, who operates Total Dental Care of South Carolina. “It gives our patients access to great dental care, and the best part is that they can schedule their dental visits anywhere with Internet access.”
The new website includes information about Dr. Forbes’ comprehensive services; a smile gallery of Dr. Forbes’ dental creations; and an online appointment form for patients to schedule office visits.
Site visitors can also access monthly blogs written by Dr. Forbes about changes in dentistry or download a free e-book written by Dr. Forbes about the power of dental implants. Dr. Forbes encourages local residents with missing or failing teeth to download the free e-book to see how dental implants can restore their mouth and chewing ability.
“Our community can look toward the website as a source of constant information and learn about us before they ever enter the office,” Dr. Forbes said.
Total Dental Care of South Carolina is a family dental practice that also offers cosmetic, orthodontic and restorative dental solutions, including same-day crown services. The practice uses two revolutionary treatments, Six Month Smiles and ClearCorrect, for patients with crooked teeth. Six Month Smiles is an accelerated orthodontic system that uses braces to correct teeth alignment in six months. Dr. Forbes, originally from Clover, has practiced in Columbia for more than two decades. He earned a biology degree from the University of South Carolina in 1981 and his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1985. In 1992, he earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. Dedicated to continuing dental education, Dr. Forbes is active in the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Academy of General Dentistry. He also serves as the commissioner for the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education.
